Accessibility

Our commitment.

We want this Site to be usable by everyone, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology. We work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA as a practical target, and we consider accessibility during design and development rather than as an afterthought.

What we do.

• Semantic HTML structure with a single, meaningful heading hierarchy per page.
• Keyboard-operable navigation, forms, and interactive controls with visible focus.
• Descriptive alternative text for meaningful imagery and labels on all form fields.
• Color and contrast choices intended to remain legible across the palette.
• Responsive layouts that reflow for zoom, small screens, and larger text sizes.
• Motion used sparingly, with respect for reduced-motion preferences.

Navigating this Site with a keyboard.

Press Tab to move through links and controls in reading order, and Shift+Tab to move back. Every page offers a skip link to jump past the menu to the main content. The main navigation menus, including the Peters Businesses menu, open with Enter or Space and close with Escape. Frequently asked questions expand with Enter or Space. Site search at /search supports arrow keys to move between results.

Adjusting the display.

Text reflows when you zoom your browser up to 200 percent or more. If you have enabled a reduced-motion preference in your operating system, the Site's reveal animations are minimized. Images that carry meaning have descriptive alternative text; purely decorative textures and ornaments are hidden from screen readers.

Links to other websites.

Links to specialist firms and other sites open in a new tab and say so in their accessible names. Those sites are operated independently, and their accessibility is the responsibility of their owners.

Known limitations.

Accessibility is ongoing work. Some content — particularly third-party embeds, linked external sites, and richly styled editorial imagery — may not yet meet every criterion. We disclose this openly rather than claim full conformance, and we address issues as we identify them.

Ongoing review.

We review templates, navigation, text contrast, keyboard access, and media as the Site evolves, and remediate identified barriers where practicable. This statement reflects good-faith effort and is not a warranty or guarantee of conformance. The Site does not currently provide a public submission channel.
