Terms of Use

Last updated · January 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Providence Country Club Guide (the "Site"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Independent editorial site.

The Site is an independent luxury lifestyle and community guide. It is not the Providence Country Club Homeowners Association, not a property owners or community association, not a management company, and not a board, committee, officer, agent, or representative of any of them. It is not operated by, affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Providence Country Club, McConnell Golf, the Providence Country Club HOA, the community's developer, or any governing body. All trademarks, service marks, community names, and brand names referenced on the Site are the property of their respective owners and are used for editorial and informational purposes only.

Nothing on the Site is an official association or club communication. The Site does not publish, interpret, or enforce governing documents, covenants, architectural standards, assessments, dues, or rules. See our full Disclaimer page for additional detail, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference along with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

Eligibility and acceptable use.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Site. You agree not to: use the Site for any unlawful purpose; scrape, crawl, harvest, mirror, or bulk-download content except by well-behaved search engine crawlers we permit; use Site content to train machine-learning or generative models; attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems; interfere with or overload the Site; submit false, abusive, infringing, or misleading information through the contact form; or misrepresent an affiliation with the Site, any club, or any association. We may suspend or terminate access at any time, without notice, for any reason.

Submissions.

Information you submit through the contact form is provided voluntarily and non-confidentially. You represent that you have the right to submit it, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use it for the purpose of responding to and administering your inquiry. Submitting the form does not create an agency, brokerage, fiduciary, employment, or professional relationship, and does not obligate us to respond.

No professional advice.

Content on the Site — including market observations, home values, builder guides, renovation guidance, school information, and neighborhood commentary — is editorial in nature and provided for general informational purposes only. It does not constitute legal, financial, tax, investment, real estate, construction, or professional advice, and should not be relied upon as such. Before making decisions about buying, selling, building, renovating, or relocating, consult qualified licensed professionals.

Trusted local experts.

The Site references a small set of trusted local experts in luxury real estate, custom homes, renovations, and smart home technology. These references are editorial recommendations based on the editors' view of quality and fit for the community; they are not endorsements by any club, HOA, or governing body, and they are not guarantees of service, performance, price, availability, or outcome. Any engagement you enter into with a referenced expert is solely between you and that expert.

Accuracy.

We make a genuine, good-faith effort to research and verify what we publish and to correct errors when we learn of them. Even so, we make no representation or warranty about accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability. Market data, availability, pricing, amenities, membership terms, school assignments, and community details change frequently and without notice, and content may be incomplete, outdated, or wrong. Figures and descriptions are general, non-binding illustrations. Always independently verify current information with the authoritative source before acting on it, and use the Site at your own risk.If you find an error, tell us through the contact page and we will review and, where warranted, correct or remove it promptly.

The Site links to third-party websites for the reader's convenience. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site.

Intellectual property.

All original content on the Site — text, layout, design, graphics, and photography — is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to Site pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, republish, or redistribute Site content without prior written permission.

Fair housing.

The Site supports the principles of equal opportunity in housing. Any references to homes, neighborhoods, or communities are made without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, disability, or any other class protected by federal, state, or local law.

Disclaimer of warranties.

The Site is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, quiet enjoyment, and non-infringement, and any warranties arising from course of dealing or usage of trade. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, secure, timely, or error-free, or that defects will be corrected. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and its editors, publisher, owners, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Site or reliance on its content — including lost profits, lost opportunity, diminished property value, transaction costs, or construction or relocation expenses — whether based in contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Site shall not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (US$100).

Indemnification.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Site, its publisher, owners, editors, contributors, and affiliates from and against any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any law or third-party right, or any decision you make in reliance on Site content.

Dispute resolution and venue.

Before filing any claim, you agree to first contact us through the contact page and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least thirty (30) days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction and venue there. To the extent permitted by law, each party waives any right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. Any claim must be brought within one (1) year after it arises or it is permanently barred.

Force majeure.

We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages, hosting or network failures, acts of God, severe weather, labor disputes, cyberattacks, or governmental action.

Severability, waiver, and entire agreement.

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of it. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Disclaimer, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Site and supersede all prior understandings. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely.

Changes to these Terms.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.
